In your teens or early '20's at that time? Then you must have gone, at least once, to the Chase Hotel on a Sunday night.
We did play other places too, Trocadero, Bulkington, Allied Breweries Social Club, Burton, Susannah's, Tamworth,
The Crown Nuneaton, Bond Gate Club.........
Are you looking for a quality nostalgia show for that special party?
Do you remember The Chase Hotel Nuneaton in the 1970's?
Do you remember Funky Parrot Discotheque?
At the peak of the popularity of the Chase, I hosted Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the lounge.
In order to provide something more than just a disco Thursdays evolved into chart music, Fridays, Rock and Saturdays, Fifties and Sixties.
Consequently, I built up a very varied collection of music that I'm starting to share again.
This proved a great success, as each feature night attracted a different regular audience.
Should have been behind the scenes, but the best location for the projectors was centre left. Stacked on tables
No accidents due to our attention to detail, but what would H.S.E. comments be today???
Don't be late, starts at 8....We used to close relatively early in those days.
Were you there? Read on to re-live the memory....If not, read on to see how things were.
Many other D.J.s also played private functions at the Chase, in later years, from late 1978, Sole Kontrole took care of business on a Sunday night , Dave Parnell's knowledge of the funk scene proved to be more popular than my pure pop approach.
